Houston Methodist Hospital will be partnering with a European institution to host a skull base and brain course. It will include lectures and hands on labs. There will be guest speaker from plastic surgery that will also speak to the collaboration with plastics in skull base and brain surgery.

“Proven & New” We are proud to announce this year a new two-day format of the 24th SGS Annual Meeting. On the 29th of August 2024: We will launch for the very first time a joint meeting with the Swiss Society of Interventional Pain Management (SSIPM) under the motto of “Learning from each other”. On the 30th of August 2024: We will have the annual meeting in its well-known format.

The clinical observer course in Zurich is designed for neurosurgeons with considerable experience in endoscopic and minimal invasive Neurosurgery. You will observe various complex endoscopic and minimal invasive surgeries within the operating theatre, seeing every little detail of setting up and performing such surgeries and handling unforeseen situations. This will certainly shorten your personal learning curve and help you to avoid unnecessary complications.

The Rotterdam yearly Skullbase course, taught by dr. Krisht has become a tradition in the European landscape of hands-on courses, offering a unique platform in which philosophy, passion, technique and patient-centered care blend together. The envelope is pushed further in terms of open surgery and the teaching is personalized, for a one-of-a-kind experience.

More than 10 hours of fresh-frozen cadaveric dissections provide an excellent opportunity for participants to get hands-on experience and update their knowledge of endoscopic skull base anatomy and approaches. Each participant station will be equipped with high quality endoscopes, tools, neuronavigation, high speeds drills and suction systems to simulate operation room settings.
