Who we are

In addition to providing a communication and educational platform, the Swiss Young Neurosurgeons Society (SYNS) is dedicated to the continuous improvement of the neurosurgical training program for residents and young consultants in Switzerland. SYNS engages in various activities to represent its members' interests.

Since 2014, SYNS has held a seat on the board of SSNS to directly convey the needs of resident doctors and contribute to the development of the national society. A scientific session organized by SYNS has been introduced at the SSNS Annual Meeting. SYNS is an active member of the Young Clinical Neuroscientists (YouCliN) network and was invited in 2018 to represent the interests of resident doctors in the Federatio Medicorum Chirurgicorum Helvetica.

The SYNS works diligently to secure its future resources and was recognized as a non-profit organization in 2016. This status allows it to receive support from the private sector, as private donations are tax-deductible. SYNS relies on the support of its sponsors and patrons to offer cost-intensive courses at affordable rates.
